Non UK Residents & UK / Spanish Expats
British ex-pat services for Spanish residents.
Have you moved to Spain and still have income in the UK? This could be through rental properties, pensions, dividends, interest or other incomes or gains. If so you may still be required to complete a UK tax return.
With over 5 years of working with a Spanish tax company, as well as a UK company we are able to offer bespoke advice and services to meet your unique needs. Whilst, Heathland Accountancy is based in the UK with our years of working collaboratively with Spanish Accountancy firms we are able to provide a centralised service for all your tax needs to be both compliant in the UK and Spain.
Double Taxation
Did you know many British expats moving to Spain end up paying tax in both countries on some income such as rental income? Therefore, getting taxed twice, simply because they are not aware of double tax relief claims. Having helped many clients prevent this from happening we can advise you if you are eligible for the relief and if so, in which country to claim the tax relief or get income exemptions for tax purposes. Ultimately, helping you to keep the most of your money and not fall victim to paying taxes twice.
Living in Spain with a UK LTD company
Have you moved to Spain and still running a UK LTD company? If this is the case then you still have company accounts and tax filing obligations in the UK. We can take care of your UK company accounts and UK tax filings in the same way as if you were in the UK. We can offer advice on where you need to declare salaries or dividends taken from your limited company on a personal level (the UK or Spain). Any Spanish tax filing obligations you have will be taken care of for you by the Spanish accountant firms we work collaboratively with. If you need to form a Spanish company instead of a UK one we can put you in touch with Spanish accountants to take care of this for you with no stress to yourselves.
Moving to countries other than Spain
We also provide services for expats who have moved to other countries, though dealing with their UK tax obligations only. Therefore if you are eligible for double tax relief in the UK we can deal with this for you, as well as deal with your UK non-resident tax return, if you have future income which still needs to be declared in the UK after you become non-resident.
